Tesa Hargis
Associate
Tesa is a first-year associate at Doumar Martin, where she concentrates her practice on plaintiff-side employment disputes. Since joining the firm as a law clerk in 2024, she has supported the firm’s litigation team in matters involving sexual harassment and discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, severance negotiations, and employment-agreement negotiations. Tesa is particularly interested in helping employees navigate challenging workplace conflicts and in developing strategies that resolve disputes efficiently while protecting clients’ rights.
She also assists in the firm’s broader civil litigation practice, including business and shareholder disputes, breach-of-contract matters, and homeowners’ and community-association issues.
Before joining Doumar Martin, Tesa received a Master of Arts from University College London and worked as a paralegal at a small family law firm, gaining early experience in client advocacy and legal procedure. During law school, she interned with the U.S. Department of Labor and a consumer-protection nonprofit, contributing to matters involving workers’ rights. In her last year of law school, Tesa worked as a student attorney, where she assisted nonprofit organizations with entity formation, compliance, and governance issues.
